Red Light Traffic Ticket

According to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario, drivers must stop at a red light and may not proceed until they see a green light. If the driver is making a right turn, the driver must come to a full and complete stop before making the turn.

Insurance companies take these traffic tickets seriously because they put the driver and others at risk of being involved in an accident and could result in paying a claim on your behalf. That risk of paying a claim is what drives your insurance rates up for this kind of traffic ticket.
